Lessons 8: Exploring Other Strokes

There is no limitation to the types of hand techniques that you will choose to develop your own style, here are a couple few to practice on once you have mastered the bass tone and slap. One could be the finger roll, rolling from pinky to fore finger and a hold down. The next might be simply a bass tone with a heal in the center, yet another example might be using the fingers closer to the edge of the drum rather than the palm in the traditional strokes. They might sound like this. These can also all be modified by keeping the hand tight rather than the release.
